About SENTE Programme

The Government of Uganda through the Ministry of Gender, Labour& Social Development is implementing the Supporting Jua Kali Enterprises to Transition into the Formal Economy (SENTE) Programme. The programme arises out of the need to support the transition of the informal sector to the formal economy to enhance job growth and labour productivity, as well as minimize decent work deficits.

The programme has Three (3) components, namely;

• Provision of Business toolkits and equipment
• Provision of Business Development Services
• Programme Management, Policy Research and Innovation
