The Government of Uganda through the Ministry of Gender, Labour& Social Development is implementing the Supporting Jua Kali Enterprises to Transition into the Formal Economy (SENTE) Programme.

The Programme is national in character, covering all the 353 constituencies in all the 135 districts and 11 cities. The major sectors of focus are those in which the Jua Kalis are most involved which also correspond with the NDP III priority sectors, namely, agriculture, tourism, minerals and manufacturing.
